Anzac Biscuits

We had a great time making the Anzac biscuits and learned how they were originally called soldier biscuits. After the battle of Gallipoli they became known as Anzac biscuits. The soldiers must have loved them. We sure did.

Here are a couple of our 5 sense poems about the Anzac biscuits

Golden, crumbly, circular oats
Buttery, syrupy, sugary sweet Anzac biscuit smell shooting up my nose

Squishy, feeling like jagged rocks under the sea shore

Syrupy, oaty ,buttery, nutty sugary tastes slipping down wet throats,
Mmmms, crunches, gulps coming from people's mouths
Scrummy, terrific wonderful Anzac biscuits!

Golden brown masterpieces floating before my eyes
Solid oaty and warm smell wafts past my nose
Crusty, warm, soft , cracked and round running under my fingers
Oaty, floury strong and rough on my tongue
Sounds of enjoyment
Oaty ,warm, golden best thing ever Anzac Biscuits.
